    The Research Center for Cognitive  Linguistic and Brain Sciences  (RCCLBS) is a specialist research center. Its central objective is to foster interaction and collaboration among all those working on linguistics, philosophy, psychology, anthropology, artificial intelligence, computer science, education, logic, and neuroscience, etc., to promote the interdisciplinary, multidisciplinary or even transdisciplinary field of Cognitive Linguistics and to develop interdisciplinary investigation into the nature of language and human cognition. The director of the Centre is Professor Wen Xu, dean of College of International Studies, Southwest University.
    RCLCBS has two subsidiary labs, the Linguistic Cognitive Science Lab and the Brain Science Lab, and one interdisciplinary journal of language and cognition studies, Cognitive Linguistic Studiespublished by John Benjamins Publishing Company under the editorship of Wen Xu (Southwest University, PR China) and Zoltán Kövecses (Eötvös Loránd University, Hungary). It also holds an annual forum, the International Forum on Linguistic Cognitive Science, which takes the form of lecture series (normally ten) on a particular subject of research by one or two world famous linguists or bright scholars.
